Nissan Rogue lug nut torque by year
The 2024–2025 Rogue is 80 ft-lb (108 N·m). That change came inside the current T33 generation: the 2021–2023 manuals print 83 ft-lb (113 N·m), the same as the 2014–2020 Rogue. Nissan also prints the oil drain plug as a range, 22 to 27 ft-lb (30.0 to 37.0 N·m) for the 1.5 L VC-Turbo.

Values as printed in the manufacturer’s owner’s manual for the year shown, not converted. Years between two checked manuals of the same generation are assumed to share the value. Open a row to read the exact wording.
What the owner’s manual says
- Re-check: Retighten the wheel nuts when the vehicle has been driven for 600 miles (1,000 km) (also in cases of a flat tire, etc.).
- Threads: Do not use oil or grease on the wheel studs or nuts. This could cause the nuts to become loose.

What changed between years
- 1st generation (S35, 2013 manual): “Wheel nut tightening torque: 80 ft-lb (108 N·m)” 4.
- 2nd generation (T32, 2014–2020): 83 ft-lb (113 N·m) in the 2014 and 2020 manuals 2 5.
- 3rd generation (T33), 2021–2023: 83 ft-lb (113 N·m), checked in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 manuals 3.
- T33, 2024–2025: 80 ft-lb (108 N·m) in the 2024 and 2025 manuals 1.
So the same body style carries two numbers. Check the model year printed in your manual, not just the generation.
Re-check and thread condition
Nissan is explicit on both. “Retighten the wheel nuts when the vehicle has been driven for 600 miles (1,000 km) (also in cases of a flat tire, etc.)” And: “Do not use oil or grease on the wheel studs or nuts. This could cause the nuts to become loose” 1. Both sentences appear in every Rogue manual we read. Tighten in a star pattern and finish with a torque wrench (lug nut tightening guide).
Oil drain plug
Nissan’s owner’s manuals print the drain plug as a range, and it depends on the engine:
- 2013 and 2014: 22 to 29 ft-lb (29 to 39 N·m) 4 2.
- 2020: 22 to 29 ft-lb (29.4 to 39.2 N·m) 5.
- 2021–2022: PR25DD 2.5 L, 22 to 29 ft-lb (29.4 to 39.2 N·m). KR15DDT 1.5 L VC-Turbo, 22 to 27 ft-lb (30.0 to 37.0 N·m) 3.
- 2024–2025, KR15DDT only: 22 to 27 ft-lb (30.0 to 37.0 N·m) 1.
The same manuals print the oil filter at 11 to 15 ft-lb. The oil drain plug torque page compares Nissan’s ranges with Honda’s single values.
Years we have not checked
The 2008–2012 Rogue manuals are not on Nissan’s manuals site, so the 1st generation is covered only by the 2013 manual. No Rogue owner’s manual gives a brake caliper torque.
